BBM’s attorneys serve as neutral arbitrators and mediators, and also represent firm clients in resolving disputes in ADR settings. Arbitrators with BBM are listed on the panel of the American Arbitration Association and provide arbitration and mediation services to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through its Conflict Prevention and Resolution Center. The firm’s attorneys also serve on the boards of the Texas Association of Mediators and the Alternate Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Texas.

Erich Birch and Cindy Becker are trained providers of ADR services and are on the panel of the American Arbitration Association. Erich serves as a neutral arbitrator, mediator, facilitator, and umpire in insurance claims. He is a mechanical engineer, licensed in Texas as a Professional Engineer, and has prior experience working as an engineer in the chemical industry. In addition to his extensive environmental experience Erich has practical knowledge regarding mechanical systems, turbines, pumps, and other mechanical equipment, chemical processes, and industrial and residential construction. Cindy primarily serves as a neutral arbitrator. She is a licensed architect in California and is active in the State Bar of Texas Construction Law Section.

Both Erich and Cindy have received arbitrator training from the American Arbitration Association and are on its construction and commercial panels. Erich has received mediator training from the University of Texas Dispute Resolution Center and was co-chair of the 2014 Annual Conference of the Texas Association of Mediators.
