BBM's principal practice areas are environmental and construction law. BBM's attorneys also handle related legal and administrative law matters and assist with drafting and negotiating contractual agreements and other legal documents. Individual attorneys with BBM provide ADR services, including mediation, facilitation, and arbitration.

Environmental:

BBM’s environmental practice covers all areas of federal and state environmental law, including air quality, water quality, storm water, municipal solid waste, industrial and hazardous waste, recycling, used oil, aboveground and underground storage tanks, Superfund, Brownfields, environmental compliance audits, site remediation, and other related areas.

Construction:

BBM’s attorneys provide legal assistance to private and public sector construction industry clients on the myriad of issues that frequently arise during project development and construction, after the post-construction warranty period, and any time in between. BBM attorneys have worked on a broad range of construction projects including schools, hospitals, community centers, courthouses, movie theatres, custom residences, et cetera. Our attorneys can assist with the drafting, negotiation, evaluation, and interpretation of contract documents, the hiring of design professionals, contractors, and construction managers, and the selection and implementation of construction procurement methods. Other available services include warranty enforcement and assisting in lien filings and bond claims. BBM attorneys can help clients reach a resolution from disputes arising out of the construction process by advocating for a client through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and/or litigation.

Alternative Dispute Resolution:

BBM offers a variety of ADR services including mediation, arbitration, and facilitation. BBM’s attorneys serve as neutral arbitrators and mediators, and also represent firm clients in resolving disputes in ADR settings. Arbitrators with BBM are listed on the panel of the American Arbitration Association and provide arbitration and mediation services to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through its Conflict Prevention and Resolution Center. The firm’s attorneys also serve on the boards of the Texas Association of Mediators and the Alternate Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Texas.
